This wine shows a slightly purple rim, but has a deep, alluring ruby colour. The intense aromas of dark fruit such as mulberry, blackberry and blueberries grabs the attention of the drinker as smooth aromas of vanilla, oak and Christmas cake draws the nose of this wine to a close. Soft flavours of plums and mulberries tickle the taste buds as smooth mature tannins dances over the mid-palate. The palate of this wine evolves from dark fruit to a rich and fulfilling finish with oak and blackberry jam lingering long after each sip. The Cabernet Sauvignon 2019 can be aged between 5 to 12 years. But, with all of these decadent flavours present, this wine has been known to be very hard to resist, especially if you’re pairing it with a beautiful lamb roast with vegetables, grilled steak or richer chicken dishes.

VITICULTURAL ANALYSIS

There is a reason why Cabernet Sauvignon is considered the king of grapes. Beautiful, complex wines are created from high quality, small grapes on Mischa estate. Intense expression of fruit flavours continues to be the goal for all our wines on the estate and th2 Cabernet Sauvignon 2020 is a great example of what can be done with good grapes.

Cabernet Sauvignon is known as the king of grapes. Hailing from the Bordeaux region of France, Cabernet Sauvignon is the most widely planted grape variety in the world. Small, thick skinned berries allow for concentrated, deeply coloured wines and also resistance to a wide range of vineyard diseases. On Mischa we select only the best grapes from our vineyards, thus creating only the best wines possible. Our Cabernet Sauvignon is left to mature to perfection using tight grained French and American oak.
