CABERNET SAUVIGNON 2023 QUICK NOTES
APPEARANCE: This wine shows a slightly purple rim next to its deep alluring ruby colour.
NOSE: Dark fruit aromas such as blackberry, mulberries and slight liqourice spice. Soft oak and vanilla compliment the fruit aromas in perfect harmony to express this wine’s balanced bouquet.
PALATE: Flavours of mulberry, plums and raspberry fill the palate as ripe, fruity tannins develop throughout the mid-palate. Beautiful acidity draws a perfect line from start to finish. Flavours keep developing as the wine gets decanted or swirled in the glass.
FOOD PAIRING: Lamb roast with accompanying veggies is an absolute winner with this wine. Pairing grilled steak and chicken dishes with this wine will also have your mouth watering.
AGEING POTENTIAL: The ideal ageing for this wine would be 5 to 12 years, but with all the decadent flavours present, it will be hard to wait for very long to open a bottle.
VITICULTURAL ANALYSIS
Cabernet Sauvignon is known as the king of grapes. Hailing from the Bordeaux region of France, Cabernet Sauvignon is the most widely planted grape variety in the world. Small, thick-skinned berries allow for concentrated, deeply coloured wines and also resistance to a wide range of vineyard diseases. On Mischa we select only the best grapes from our vineyards, thus creating only the best wines possible. Our Cabernet Sauvignon is left to mature to perfection using tight-grained French and American oak.
