LA FAMILLE CABERNET SAUVIGNON 2022 QUICK NOTES
APPEARANCE: A rich ruby coloured wine with an alluring slightly purple rim.
NOSE: This pure expression of a Cabernet Sauvignon has enticing aromas of mulberry, plums and black berry followed by rich aromas of oak and leather. To make
the bouquet even more enjoyable the aromas develop into trademark Mischa flavours of sweet and sour cherry, with subtle hints of vanilla and fruitcake. To swirl a glass of this Cab is to explore the depth of one’s senses.
PALATE: The grippy and wholesome tannins of this wine are a pleasure by itself. This well-balanced structure develops right from the get-go, through the mid-palate and right into a long and lingering finish full of fruit and slight spice. Flavours of plum, dried fruit and subtle oak notes are accompanied by a fresh acidity that will keep even the most seasoned drinker interested right to the bottom of the bottle.
PAIRING: Try the Cabernet Sauvignon with a charred gruyere burger, creamy pasta, or roast lamb.
AGEING: The optimum cellar ageing for this wine would be 3 to 5 years, but it can be enjoyed as soon as the need arises.
VITICULTURAL ANALYSIS
Cabernet Sauvignon is known as the king of grapes. Hailing from the Bordeaux region of France, Cabernet Sauvignon is the most widely planted grape variety in the world. Small, thick skinned berries allow for concentrated, deeply coloured wines and also resistance to a wide range of vineyard diseases. On Mischa we select only the best grapes from our vineyards, thus creating only the best wines possible. Our Cabernet Sauvignon is left to mature to perfection using tight grained French and American oak.
