PALATE: Flavours of sweet and sour cherry, then ripe, fruity tannins followed by French oak leaving the drinker with a long, spicy finish.

Merlot is one of the 5 grape varieties used typically in Bordeaux blends, but is also very popular as a single cultivar wine. Primarily producing more delicate style red wines, it typically blends well with the bolder Cabernet Sauvignon.
