OLD VINE CHENIN BLANC 2021 QUICK NOTES
APPEARANCE: Bright and golden with a hint of lime in the rim.
NOSE: Stone fruit aromas followed by subtle citrus notes and cheerful tropical tones.
PALATE: Vibrant stone fruit and citrus flavours with a dramatic peach and pineapple finish.
PAIRING: Drinks well on its own, but pairs well with light meat like chicken and fish, as well as cheese platters.
AGEING: Drink now or age for 2 to 3 years.
Chenin Blanc is the most widely planted wine grape in South Africa. Its versatility is obvious as it is used to make everything from fresh sparkling wines to brandy to well balanced desert wines.
This Old Vine Chenin Blanc was made from a certified heritage vineyard, planted in 1977, from Kliprug, a farm very close to Mischa. Being an old vineyard, the yield is a lot lower but produces more complex and high quality grapes.
